Margaret Thatcher's iconic handbag sees soaring sales!!!

Margaret Thatcher was certainly no slave to fashion, sticking unfalteringly to her trademark power suits and twinsets.

But her influence on the fashion world has seen a surprising resurgence, with sales of her iconic handbag doubling since her death.
Two of Maggie's favorite bags by British fashion brand Launer London - the Bellini and the Adagio - have seen sale increases of 53 per cent since her passing, with a spike in sales seen on the evening news of her death was announced and yesterday morning, the day of her funeral.

Her handbag was part of the Iron Lady's armory and 'hand bagging' was a term coined to describe her dressing down of opponents and critics that got in her way.
